This month is my last in Toronto, It’s also American Thanksgiving weekend so in my continued tradition of mixing up the two entirely different parts of The Americas here are the things I’m thankful to Toronto for.

  • Delicious Ramen
  • A completely unique toned sky every night
  • Working closely with smart people
  • Late night Dairy Queen
  • Street Cars, trams to the rest of the world and much better than a bus
  • Spending most of my time 10 to 20 stories above ground
  • Socially lunching
  • Bahn Mi Sandwiches
  • Asian Gelato
  • The Toronto Symphony Orchestra
  • Making me feel welcome
  • Confirming that I don’t care for baseball
  • The sweltering Summer lake watching
  • The soberly unfathomable Winter and a warm coat (and scarf, hat, knee warmers)
  • City wide inside jokes
  • Hot yoga that’s not just for hipsters
  • Institutionalised Brunch
  • Tolerance and Kindness
  • Cheap transit
  • Indie coffee shops and paper stores
  • Bürro Burrito
  • TIFF
  • Living next door to an Aquarium
  • Wanda’s Pies
  • Filipino Food

You’ll notice poutine isn’t on this list. I enjoyed the pun more than I enjoy the national dish of indigestion and stodge.
